Pharmavite Sued Over “Extra Strength” Vitamin Claims

Maria Mendez Whitaker filed a complaint against Pharmavite LLC, alleging the supplements company of false and deceptive business practices regarding the marketing and sale of their Nature Made Extra Strength Chewable Vitamin C products.

According to the complaint, the label “Extra Strength” deceives the consumer into believing said product has more Vitamin C than a regular strength or non-extra strength counterpart; however, this is not the case.

Because the Extra Strength vitamins are sold for a higher price than their regular strength counterparts, the complaint alleges customers suffered financial injury by purchasing the extra strength vitamins.

The plaintiff seeks the following for relief: a certification of the complaint as a class action, injunctive and equitable relief, damages, and costs.

The plaintiff is represented by Custodio and Dubey LLP.
